Boyle: Losing Stinks

Blueshirts United has these quotes from an obviously upset Brian Boyle and Henrik Lundqvist after last night’s 3-0 loss to the Senators…

Boyle…

“We expect a lot more out of ourselves,” Brian Boyle said through gritted teeth. “We’ve had success the last bunch of games, and obviously much of the year, but it stills feels terrible to lose. It (stinks). It’s the worst. We don’t think that a loss is bound to happen. We go into every game thinking we are going to win the game.”

Lundqvist…

“We want to win every night,” said Henrik Lundqvist. “It doesn’t matter what we did the previous game, or the past few games, even if we had success. Every night we want to win. I didn’t expect to win every game the rest of the season. I knew a loss would come. But it’s a good thing that guys are disappointed in losing.”

Here’s the video…

…absolutely love that these guys are legit pissed off after last night’s loss despite having the best record in the NHL and winning their previous five in a row. Shows how dedicated this team is to winning and why they rarely, if ever, have two bad games in a row. And John Tortorella deserves all the credit for creating that atmosphere in the locker room.
