Pro football is a quarterback-driven game, so it’s no surprise that QBs Tom Brady and Michael Vick head up Bloguin’s NFL Awards.
Brady was a double award winner selected both Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year. Brady threw 36 touchdowns to four interceptions to lead the New England Patriots to the AFC East title and playoff home field advantage with the league-best 14-2 record.
Vick captured Bloguin’s Comeback Player of the Year after his rise from third string to starter for the 10-6 Philadelphia Eagles. Vick finished the season with 21 touchdowns to six interceptions and a career high 100.3 QB rating.
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu was named Defensive Player of the Year. QB Sam Bradford (St. Louis Rams) and DL Ndamukong Suh (Detroit Lions) were named Offensive and Defensive Rookies Of the Year respectively. Raheem Morris (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) was named Bloguin’s Coach of the Year.
Redskins Hog Heaven’s Greg Trippiedi was a member of the Awards selection committee.

The Washington Redskins finished the season ranked 20th in the final Bloguin 2010 NFL Power Poll, up five places from Week 16. The move puts them ahead of the Dallas Cowboys who dropped three places to 27th. The Philadelphia Eagles finished seventh and the New York Giants finished 12th in the final poll that was published December 31, 2010.
