The loss to Ottawa last night cost theLightning much more than two points. After the dust settled this afternoon, it turns out that goalie Anders Lindback will be out until after the Olympic break due to a collision with the Senators Cory Conacher. According to Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune:

Lindback said he felt a pop in his left ankle, the opposite ankle he injured last year, gutted out the last period and a half.

Starting goalie Ben Bishop, who was inadvertently kicked in the head by

teammate Nikita Kucherov, will most likely miss Saturday’s game versus the Canadiens and return on Tuesday night versus the Minnesota Wild.

Erik Erlendsson also tweeted:

Cooper did not rule out the prospect of having to call up two goaltenders for tomorrow, and hinted Cedrick Desjardins could start.

Forward Valtteri Filppula is doubtful for tomorrow’s game with a hip injury. The Bolts may hold him out for precautionary reasons and he would return on Tuesday night.

Stay tuned for call up information.

Update:  The Lightning has recalled goalies Cedrick Desjardins and Kristers Gudlevskis from the Syracuse Crunch. Everblades goalie Riku Helenius has been suspended for breach of contract after leaving the team. Goalie Allen York has been loaned from the SC Stingrays of the ECHL to the Syracuse Crunch.
