The Lightning have reassigned forward Vladislav Namestnikov to the Syracuse Crunch. The 22 year old prospect center skated in 23 games and accumulated seven points this season with the Bolts.
He has been a healthy scratch in two of the last three games.
The move will allow Namestnikov to get more ice time without having to clear waivers and continue his development. We will see him again this season in Tampa Bay most likely because of injuries suffered at the NHL level. (Photo/Tarra Dunlop)
The move may signal that forward Jonathan Drouin will not be involved in the World Junior Championship. Drouin is certain to get more ice time.
