predscapspreseason2

The 2013 NBA draft has just passed with a few big name players like Bennett, Noel, Michael-Carter-Williams, Burke, and Oladipo. Many scouts say that the 2013 draft class was one of the weakest in a long time. There wasn’t a confident pick at the number 1 spot. Anthony Bennett shocked the country going number 1 to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Many teams are looking forward to this highly anticipated draft class. Mainly because of Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins is a 6’8″ SF and is a  play maker that can jump out the gym with his leaping ability. Able to drive on any defender and hit jump shots when needed to. Every college coach in the country wanted a shot with Wiggins but chose to take his talents with Bill Self at Kansas. Wiggins is projected number one on everybody’s mock draft board. He has the potential to be a next big star in this league in the same class of Lebron, Kevin Durant, Carmelo, and others. He will be the number one pick when its all said and done. Teams like the 76ers, Bucks, Bobcats, Orlando, Boston, and Cleveland would love to have Wiggins on their team.  Who wouldn’t want him?

Who will go number two?

Andrew Wiggins will most likely go number one with the comparisons to Scottie Pippen, Lebron, and Tracy McGrady. The big questions is who will go number two? With so many big name players in this draft like Marcus Smart, Julius Randle, the Harrison twins, Aaron Gordon and Jabari Parker. Any of these players can go number two based off how they will play on the collegiate level. This years draft class is very strong with every position a team may need.

Jabari Parker

Parker is a 6’8″ very skilled small forward. He can sometimes get overlooked because of Andrew Wiggins but has very big potential just like Wiggins. Parker has length and can shoot the ball anywhere on the floor. Pretty good defender and very athletic, Parker can dominate in the league. Parker will learn under Coach K at Duke and will make an improvement on his game before the NBA.

Julius Randle

Randle from Plano TX is going to Kentucky to play with the Harrison twins. A 6’9″ power forward, Randle can dominate inside. He is a strong athletic player who can rebound. He knows how to put the ball on the floor to get past his defenders and makes the right pass when needed. Randle has superstar potential.

NBA Comparison: Zack Randolph

Harrison twins

Both of the twins have great skill set. They’re both very smart with tremendous basketball IQ.

Andrew Harrison is more of a floor general. He has good athleticism and likes to get his teammates involved. Deron Williams is a good comparison for Andrew.

Aaron Harrison is more of the scorer. He can drive on his opponent and has a good mid range game. He has some Joe Johnson and Dwayne Wade in his game.

Aaron Gordon

Gordon has the ability to be a next superstar simply because of his jumping ability. A 6’8″ SF/PF who can score easy under the rim and is a great rebounder. In the NBA, he will most likely play the power forward because of his poor shooting ability.

NBA Comparison: Blake Griffin

Marcus Smart

Smart is the best point guard in the 2014 draft class. He is a strong athletic guard who can control the pace in games. He is a great tempo player who is a play maker. He can pass and shoot the ball. Needs to improve on his 3 point range but can be NBA’s next star.

Dante Exum

Exum is a player you may not heard of. He is a 6’6″ PG/SG who is from Australia. He has great pro potential because of his quickness and ability to score. He can shoot off the dribble and run the floor when needed. He can blow past a defender with his quickness and can finish under the rim.
