Tennessean.com is reporting that Brewers’ AAA pitching prospect Chris Oxspring was sold Tuesday morning to the LG Twins of the Korean League.
My take–Doug Melvin already shopped Oxspring to the other 29 MLB teams and found little to no interest. Hopefully, the Brewers have some sort of arrangement to reacquire Oxspring if one of the starters gets injured…but this means that the Brewers’ management really didn’t see Oxspring as a candidate for the 2008 roster.
Perhaps Melvin soured on Australian pitchers after Grant Balfour’s performance in Cincinnati last evening.
