While it may not be the Evan Turner trade you were hoping for, it is very much a great trade indeed. Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Sixers have traded Hawes to the Cleveland Cavaliers for two second round picks in the 2014 draft.
Even more exciting is that the trade places Cleveland over the salary cap. The Sixers will be receiving more than just two picks
The Cavaliers are hoping the two month rental of Hawes will have an impact on their playoff hunt and provides the 76ers their 7th total pick in the 2014 NBA draft. That’s right guys, 7. Let that sink in, Spencer Hawes is gone.
