By now, you’ve heard about the nightmare that is the saga of the 15,000 misspelled Troy Tulowitzki jerseys that led the Colorado Rockies had to cancel Saturday’s giveaway, right?
Well…the Milwaukee Brewers were almost in a similar bind.
As of late Saturday night, the team had yet to receive the Jim Henderson bobbleheads they were giving away to all the fans who showed up Sunday to see the first place Brew Crew take on the New York Mets.
“We are hopeful that the bobbleheads will arrive in time, but we wanted to communicate in advance the issues with the transportation so that fans are prepared when they arrive at the game tomorrow,” Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger said Saturday. “We appreciate everyone’s patience and apologize on behalf of the transportation personnel who are bringing the bobbleheads to Milwaukee.”
But then, just before the clock struck midnight…this happened.

Hooray…all is saved!
It turns out, however, the Brewers do have a little bit of a problem on their hands. Sure, the bobbleheads might have shown up, but Henderson? Dude’s missing in action.
The team’s top closer from a year ago has been on the disabled list since early May after being diagnosed with inflammation in his right shoulder. Currently, Henderson is on a rehab assignment with the club’s Triple-A affiliate in Nashville.
