Brewers Ticket Prices Well Below Season Average For Pittsburgh Series

The Milwaukee Brewers haven’t had the start they had hoped for to get the 2015 MLB season going. Hosting a potent Colorado Rockies offense, Milwaukee’s pitching struggled to keep up in a rough 3-0 series sweep that included a 10-0 shutout loss on Opening Day. Milwaukee’s pitching got rocked over the first three games of the year (20 runs allowed), but perhaps more alarming was their lack of offense (just six total runs). It hasn’t helped that big hitter Ryan Braun has missed two games due a strain in his right side.

The Brewers won’t have much time to figure out what went wrong in their opening series, as they get the division rival Pittsburgh Pirates starting on Friday. The Pirates could be in the same boat as the Brewers when they face off, too, as they were 0-2 going into Thursday afternoon. Needless to say, both the Brewers and Pirates will be hard pressed to turn things around in just their second series, or else risk being cemented at the bottom of the NL Central division.

Brewers fans aren’t used to such important series this early in the year, but this one registers as such given the 0-3 start and the opponent being a bitter rival. The good news is Brewers tickets remain a bargain with fans having to pay just $31 on average ($4 for the cheap seats) when the series gets started on April 10th according to TiqIQ.com. Fans can expect similar value over the weekend, as well, when Brewers and Pirates tickets are just $40 and $35 on average. Considering Brewers tickets come in at $92.56 on the year, fans will be getting a major deal for what figures to be an intense series.

Fans can get to the game with Hipmunk.com, listing flights to Milwaukee through a variety of the best airlines. Brewers fans can catch multiple games by spending the weekend in the city, using Hipmunk to book hotels near Miller Park from $62.

While Brewers fans can bank on a solid return on their investment in terms of price, they’ll be hoping for at least one Brewer win to avoid a devastating 0-6 hole. That appears doable, as the Brewers should have an edge with a second straight series going down at Miller Park, while the Brew Crew might be able to hang their hat on a solid 12-7 record against these very Pirates a year ago. Milwaukee will be in even better shape if Braun can return on Friday, as he’d positively impact both their offense and defense.
