Brian Billick struggles to complete a coherent thought

Seriously, what is he talking about?

Schrager: How much will the coaching staff changes in Indy impact Peyton Manning in ’09?

Billick: You still have No. 18 under center, so that’s pretty good. I think the change is substantial, but it’s more substantial on the defensive side. That said, there will be a lot of voices in Peyton’s head now. His former quarterbacks coach is now his head coach. His receivers coach is now his offensive coordinator. His former offensive coordinator is now a consultant. That’s a lot of voices. But then again, this is Peyton Manning. He, if anybody, has the stature to say, “Well, hold on now,” and listen to the voices he wants. Or, for that matter, none of them at all.

Oh, someone is hearing voices, all right.  I’m just not sure it’s Manning.
