Brian Kelly gets a 2-year contract extension from Notre Dame http://t.co/jP2Ad5dg

The extension could keep Brian Kelly at Notre Dame through the 2016 season. As underwhelming as two consecutive 8 win seasons may be to some Irish fans, the ugly truth is that it was only the second time since Lou Holtz that the Irish have had two 8+ win seasons in a row.
The administration is doing it’s fair part in trying to bring stability back to the Notre Dame Football program. It is also a strong vote of confidence in Brian Kelly. Kelly should be given ample time to help bring the program back to being a national power.
Fighting Irish fans must get the “three year rule” out of their heads. It’s not going to happen like that. Our best hope is stability and a constant push towards development. That is really the only chance that we have.
