Brooklyn Balling is back, with some news

My summer-long vacation now complete, Brooklyn Balling will be back to normal posting starting today as I try to recap a pretty busy Brooklyn Nets offseason.

The Nets have a new coach, traded away their old one, picked up two new international players, lost a future Hall-of-Famer and a key guard, and traded for a bunch of draft picks and a veteran point guard. No offseason is ever quiet for the Nets, it seems.

Also, I’m proud to announce, Brooklyn Balling will–in the upcoming days and/or weeks–be adding its first ever contributor not named Josh Burton. Dylan Mendelowitz (@MendNBA on Twitter)–who writes for hoopscritic.com and brooklynsbeat.com–will be joining me on the site to help with coverage of your favorite New York City basketball team.

Dylan and I are still ironing out the final touches on his role with BB but expect to see his work appearing on the site very soon. Since starting Brooklyn Balling (on BlogSpot) almost three years ago in January of 2012, I have been the only writer for the site, which has certainly been a massive time commitment for myself and has caused there to be less content and more service delays than I would like.

I’m not going anywhere, but the writing load on me will be a little lessened with Dylan’s introduction to the BB family. Welcome him with open arms as we start to welcome the 2014-15 NBA season.
