Bruins 2, Rangers 1

Keyon Dooling

The New York Rangers (50-22-7) lost to the Boston Bruins (47-28-4) by the score of 2-1, tonight. For a box score and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

…while I’m far from being concerned about this team after the loss, they’ve had very few wins against quality opponents recently. With Flyers, Pens and Caps left on the schedule, I’d like to see them get at least two wins to wrap up the season.

…what a cruel April Fools joke for Rangers fans with the Blueshirts not getting the one point needed to clinch the #1 seed.

…two weeks ago, Lundqvist was a lock for the Vezina, not so sure anymore.

…assuming Thomas didn’t complain about the MSG lighting after this one.

…Dubinsky has been virtually invisible this season, but he was extra invisible tonight.

…speaking of invisible, except for the line brawl against the Devils, when was the last time you noticed Prust during a game?

…it’s almost not fair when Gaborik uses his quick release on a breakaway. Congrats on #40.

…FIVE shots on goal for Staal.

…after a few games of power play success, right back to being awful again.

…Boyle is seriously becoming one of my favorite players. Loved him getting in Chara’s face.

…Bruins doubled up the Rangers on faceoff wins 32-16.

…off tomorrow then in Philly.
