The bWo continues it’s domination of the NHL with yet another impressive win.
It was Ed Westfall night in New York as they retired Ed’s number and put him in the Islanders Hall of Fame. To show you how important he was to the Islanders we present his Wikipedia page entry.
Fitting that the NYI would present him in their Hall of Fame when Boston was in town. Great player. Great guy.
More recap after the jump…
We’ve been busy with a bunch of other posts coming up, so this recap is gonna be pretty fast.
Video highlights:
It was technically a road game for Boston but with how many Bruins fans that were in the house plus the Bs wearing black jerseys, it definitely felt like a home game.
Bad news when Rick DiPietro is your only healthy NHL-caliber goalie left. Who thought we’d ever say “healthy” and “DiPietro” in the same sentence?
Someone caught photographic evidence that David Krejci –from time to time– does throw a hit.
Chris Kelly had a huge game for Boston. Two goals and an assist.
Not bad for a third-line center. The Terrorist has been insane lately.
Thomas was lights out, earning yet another shutout for Boston. He’s third all-time SO leader for the Bruins.
And to paraphrase Haggs, shit ain’t good when Chara and Marchand are running two-on-ones on you.
What it comes down to is that Boston didn’t play down to a bad opponent this time, something that almost cost them against Columbus.
Eight in a row for Boston. What a November so far. This team is just scary good right now. Teams gotta be shitting themselves when they see Boston on their schedule. They’ll beat you down physically and on the scoreboard.
Habs tomorrow night. Bring it.
