The Boston Bruins have signed defenseman Linus Arnesson to an entry-level contract.
Word that this happened came out a few days ago, but the Boston Bruins have made it official. They’ve been too busy pushing #NHL15Bergeron that they forgot about player signing news.
From the Bruins press release:
In the 2013-14 campaign, Arnesson skated in 44 games for Djurgarden in the Allsvenskan league where he tallied one goal and five assists with a plus-two rating and 36 penalty minutes. Arnesson also played in six postseason games for Djurgarden this season.
The blueliner also represented Team Sweden in World Juniors, where he tacked on two assists in seven contests.
The 6’1”, 188-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden was drafted by Boston in the second round (60th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Following being drafted by Boston, Arnesson participated in the Bruins annual Development Camp in July of 2013.
