Liles came to the Bruins at the trade deadline last year from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Anthony Camara, a third round pick and a fifth round pick. Liles registered six points in 17 games with the Bruins and will now return to anchor a patchwork defense. In 800 NHL games, Liles has 365 points with the Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins.
Nash comes to Boston on a two-year, $1.8 million deal, after spending his entire NHL career with the Carolina Hurricanes. Nash was the 21st overall selection in the 2007 NHL Draft by Edmonton, before being traded to Carolina. Last season, Nash registered nine points and 13 assists in 64 games and has 81 points in 242 career games.
Khudobin returns to the Bruins, whom he spent two seasons with in 2011 and 2012. Khudobin signs a two-year, $2.4 million deal to be Tuukka Rask’s backup. The backup goaltender position was vacated by Jonas Gustavsson, who signed a one-year deal in Edmonton.
Last season, Khudobin was 3-3 with a 2.69 GAA and .909 save percentage in nine games with the Anaheim Ducks and spent most of the year buried in the AHL.
