The Bruins have dealt out another trade this time with the Florida Panthers. Reilly Smith and Marc Savard are now Florida Panthers, in return the Bruins acquired Jimmy Hayes.
Hayes is 25 years old and 6’6″, he was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs back in 2008 (he was the 60th overall pick). Hayes will not half to get use to Boston as he is a Boston native. Last year Hayes played a total of 72 games scoring 19 goals and 16 assist for the Panthers. In his career he has also played for the Blackhawks before becoming a Panther. I see this as a good trade for the Bruins, Hayes is a solid player he crashes the net and scores all the dirty goals.
