Bryan Campbell, the son of Ducks running backs coach and his wife Alola died yesterday. He was 29.
Bryan had a rare neuromuscular disease called Werdig-Hoffman syndrome that paralyzed him from the neck down. When he was born, doctors said he wouldn’t live a year.
Coach Campbell has been a mentor and father figure to UO tailbacks for 31 years. Three decades of players have met Bryan and been inspired by him and the love and devotion of his family.
The entire Oregon community offers support and condolences to the Campbells. We are sorry for their loss.
