After a comeback year in 2015, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed on a deal to keep running back Doug Martin, as Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune first reported. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports it’s a five-year deal worth $35.75 million.

Martin, 27, was originally a first-round draft pick of the Buccaneers in 2012 and went to the Pro Bowl as a rookie after rushing for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns. But Martin’s production started to drop heavily when he was hit by the injury bug the next two seasons. He failed to reach even 500 yards rushing from 2013-14.
Last season, however, Martin rejuvenated his career by rushing for 1,402 yards and six touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl a second time and became the first Buccaneers running back to be named a First-Team All-Pro.
