The Pirates hit back to back homers for the first time this season to take a 4-2 lead in Milwaukee. Jose Bautista deposited a 2 run shot to deep left, while Ronny Paulino took the next pitch to the Party Porch in right center. Somehow, I don't think Jim Tracy imagined the first back to back shots of the year coming from the 7 and 8 hitters.
Right before Bautista's homer, former Bucco's pitcher and current analyst Bob Walk said that the Pirates are only looking for 3 homers a month from Bautista, and that he needed to work on his power a bit. Bautista used the next pitch to tell Bob what he thought about those comments.
Gorzo was all prepared to leave the game after the 6th, but came out to bat after Bautista regained the lead and Paulino added an insurance run. Gorzo paid his offense back by making a stellar defensive tag in the bottom of the 7th.
