MLB announced the AL Pitcher for the Month of August and it is our very own, Clay Buchholz. During the month, Clay was 4-0 with a sick ERA of 1.03. And he’s also leading the AL in ERA for the season right now with a 2.21. Basically…Clay is the AWESOME.

It’s no secret I am a huge, MONSTER Clay Buchholz fan. I’ve gotten in many o’ arguments with Sox fans about Clay for the past few years. I’ve battled saying the kid is going to be a pitching monster for SOMEONE…and I wanted it to be for the Red Sox. I was constantly saying, “NO TRADE CLAY” whenever his name came up the past couple of years.
Sometimes it awesome to be right. Clay is showing not only the talent we all knew he had, but the confidence to go along with it.
