Our prediction earlier about Mr. Miller’s verbal being the tip of the iceberg seems pretty good today, as Ohio State received a verbal commitment from Illinois standout Evan Spencer. He’s the thirteenth member of what’s shaping up to be an amazing 2011 class.
Evan clocks in at 6′ 1″ and 185 pounds, and has been timed at a 4.4 second 40 yard dash. He held offers from Nebraska, Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Arkansas. Evan is touted as one of the top ten Chicago area recruits in the 2011 class.
Mr. Spencer is a Buckeye legacy, the son of Ohio State standout Tim Spencer, who is now a member of the Chicago Bears coaching staff.
