The Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2012 Schedule is all but set now. Times will be announced when the new year starts, around spring-ish.
The Bucs will play the following teams at
HOME
St.Louis Rams
Denver Broncos
Kansas City Chiefs
Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Redskins
Atlanta
Carolina
New Orleans
AWAY
Minnesota Vikings
Oakland Raiders
San Diego Chargers
Dallas Cowboys
NY Giants
Atlanta
Carolina
New Orleans
No more than 4 teams will be playoff teams in all likelihood, with Denver and Oakland vying for one spot, while NY Giants and Dallas looking for the other. The Rams and Vikings are fellow last place teams, and those are the only two teams who were not known to be on the Bucs schedule until their place in their divisions was settled. Over all it is not a very difficult schedule; you will here some say “We play the NFC East, the toughest division in football” but please remind them that the NFC South is sending two Wild Card teams, as is the NFC North, THOSE are the two toughest divisions in football now. The east is just another division, with two teams with 8 wins going into week 17. A 9-7 team will make the playoffs this year, when a 10-6 team missed them a year ago.
One has to wonder what making the playoffs last year would have accomplished. You’d have to think a trip to the NFC Championship game last year would have saved Raheem Morris’ job this year no matter what the record, right? Maybe its a good thing it worked out the way it did!
As for rematches and events, it meants Tim Tebow comes to town when the Broncos visit, the Bucs will rematch their greatest comeback vs the KC Chiefs game of 2008, and remember when the Raiders sent the Bucs home and got Gruden Fired? REMATCH!
