Bucs beat Panthers to go 2-0 on the year!

Call it amazing, call it remarkable. But you will call them 2-0 from now on, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, correction, the undefeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are in 1st place with a win over Carolina to snap a 3 game losing streak to the Panthers. The victory answered most of the important questions: could the Bucs stop the Carolina running game? Carolina was held to 119 yards rushing while the game was still in question. The other big mystery was if Josh Freeman could continue his maturity and overcome a poor showing in Carolina last season in which he threw 5 interceptions. Today he threw none, but instead he threw 2 TDs and the Bucs were efficient in the redzone as opposed to the results last season in the same location. The game was tight and could have gone either way when the plays of the game happened. It was at the 8 minute mark of the 2nd quarter and the Bucs were held to a third and long. Freeman ran around right end, evaded a sack, and threw downfield and hit Kellen Winslow Jr for a big gain. From there, the next play Freeman had better protection, and darted a ball to Mike Williams who took the ball in for the go ahead touchdown that proved to be the winning points. All day the long the defense played a bend but dont break style, with an improved effort in the second half for the second straight week.
