Two weeks into the Albert Hanesworth Experiment, and all is well. SO well in fact, Bucs management has released DT Frank Okam to clear a roster spot for former Eagles 3rd round draft pick Daniel Te’o-Nesheim whom the Bucs picked off the Philadelphia practice squad to play Defensive End.
Despite criticism from former Bucs DT Warren Sapp on the Showtime NFL show, Hanesworth seems so far to have turned around his football life. Now some will say a leopard never changes his spots, but thats not true, because THIS WAS how Hanesworth played BEFORE changing his spots.
Hanesworth is running down field making tackles, and even providing veteran leadership to the young Bucs, and its made a difference. The Packers did NOT run the ball on the Bucs succensfully, and even the Houston Texans didnt have too many yards in the first half before the Bucs defense quit last week.
Hanesworth should cost the Bucs about 7 million dollars next season should he stay, and having Albert Hanesworth, Gerald McCoy, and Brian Price all here playing defensive tackle, its no wonder the Bucs let Okam go. A stout run stopper himself, expect Okam to find himself on a roster soon.
