How did the Bucs win? They Shut down the Run!

To say the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shut down the run would be an understatement, The Falcons total run output of 30 yards was the Tampa Bay defenses 11th best effort in their 36 year history. Its the lowest total since September 28th, 2008 against the Green Bay Packers when Brian Griese got the win during Jon Gruden’s last year as Bucs head coach.

Of interesting note, 3 of the record totals, including the best ever of 10, happened during the ‘lost’ years of the Bucs defense, in between the Monte Kiffin era and the old Bucs John McKay defense.
