It has been an awful turn of events since the All-Star break for the Sacramento Kings, having now lost eight straight. In those losses, the Kings are averaging 100 points per game on 46 percent shooting from the field. On defense, the Kings are allowing 106.1 points per game, which is tied for 18th.
Newcomer Buddy Hield has seen success in a Kings uniform. He is averaging career highs in points and field goal percentage. With the 105-92 loss against Denver at the Golden 1 Center, Hield finished with 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field, making him the Reno Dodge Power Performer.
Hield has proven to be a premier threat from deep. This play would show you that:
Hield’s defender, Danilo Gallinari, made a huge gamble, and it didn’t work for him. Collison saw the trailing Hield, and immediately passed it to him. Gallinari made a huge gamble by giving Hield too much space. Not to mention Gallinari assumed Hield would take it to the paint and finish.

In this play, Kosta Koufos deserves a ton of credit for setting a great screen for Hield, who did a great job of evading Nikola Jokic for the circus shot. Also, notice how he finished that with his left hand. This is something that is extremely difficult for some players who have difficulties finishing with the opposite hand.
The Kings, who have now fallen to the 13th seed will take on the Magic tomorrow.
