Someone at the Denver Post must feel like a complete a-hole because Butch Jones has removed his name from the Colorado coaching search. The news broke about half an hour ago that he turned down their advances.
There are rumors popping up that Jones is now a candidate at Tennessee and Wisconsin. For some reason, I'm not worried about Jones and those rumors. Call it fatigue from this situation, but I'm just not worried. Hopefully if Jones talks to Tennessee or Wisconsin, they either make him a great offer or they make him a really shitty offer and he will stay or he will go.
I'm glad we can put Colorado to bed. Now that he turned it down, I would have been really pissed if Butch left for Colorado. I couldn't understand why he would go to Colorado outside of a money grab. I don't know if he turned them down to wait for something better, or if he turned them down because he wants to coach at Cincinnati. I guess we will find out soon enough.
