Caldwell on the timeout

Wow.  His logic is pretty weak

Kravitz followed again, “Did you think that they were prepared to settle for about a 50-yard FG try?”

“A lot of times, you don’t know what they’re thinking,” Caldwell said. “That would be very, very easy if you knew exactly what they’re thinking. So you’ve got to weigh both options. You’ve got to think, ‘Hey, maybe they’re just trying to set it up, the next one is going to be a run into the middle of the field, or whatever it might be.’ But you don’t know. You also know that a team could pass, and that’s why the defense that we called, we were anticipating that it would be pass, get up, press, don’t let ‘em throw a little hitch on the outside, that kind of thing. But, um, you know, they made a play. So be it.”
