Camp day 16: Morning practice

Rolando McClain rejoined his teammates for the morning session of the 16th day of practice. This was a padded practice, so that means there was contact. It was limited contact so there was no tackling to the ground, nor was there cut blocking. The offense was still not firing on all cylinders.

  • When defenders can’t finish the tackle, it makes the running backs look good. However, Alex Daniels had a three yard run in a goal line situation. Alex Daniels behind Lamarr Houston in a short yardage situation could be lethal to defenders.

  • Samson Satele had to get some extra tape work on his arms.
  • Both Rock Cartwright and Jason Campbell fumbled, but were able to recover the ball themselves.
  • Bruce Gradkowski was shaky in his first contact workout since returning from his groin injury.
  • Michael Bush carried a couple of defenders. The restrictions on contact make that easier than it would be in a game.
  • As usual, Zach Miller was automatic. He beat McClain for a catch and caught the final pass of practice.
