NAIA WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT, DECEMBER 4TH UPDATE

CCAA or CANADIAN COLLEGE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
CCAA (Canadian College Athletic Association) is the sports organization that represents colleges and small schools in Canada. As we know, there are two components to Canadian men’s Volleyball –CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sports for universities or large schools) and CCAA. Each division is a separate, distinct entity with its own championship tournament. CIS currently numbers 30 men’s Volleyball programs while the CCAA has 50 programs.
The Red Deer Kings from the ACAC and the Douglas Royals from the PACWEST currently sit atop the CCAA rankings. As previously mentioned, Medicine Hat College and Lethbridge College will travel south to Phoenix, Arizona in early January to play Division I school Grand Canyon University. These two matches should also provide a gauge of the relative strength of Canadian Volleyball compared to the American game.
And, just like their counterparts in the CIS, the CCAA will also go on a month long (give or take) hiatus until January 9, 2015, when the CCAA will resume with a vengeance. Some stats and schedule stuff follows below. Hope you enjoy.
