Prior to Monday afternoon, this was the last at bat in Busch Stadium:
Does anyone remember what happened last time the #STLCards played at Busch? http://t.co/KLPqAGRpOD

The first play… the VERY NEXT play, actually, in Busch Stadium was hit to Kolten Wong. He fumbled it and Carlos Gomez was on first instead of heading back to the dugout.
He’d come around to score 3 batters later and the shit-show that was Opening Day ’15 was off and running.
The Brewers had scored 16 runs in 6 games prior to Monday. It took them 1 game against the Cardinals to plate 5.
The Cardinals were officially charged with 2 errors on the day, but Jason Heyward got a little love from the hometown scorer.
And Yadier Molina officially entered the slump zone by going 0/4 and lowering his BA to .143 for season. Worse yet, his inability to drive the ball continues to persist:

Is it the end of the world? No.
The Cardinals will have many more losses over the course of the 2015 season, including losses to these very same (and not very good) Brewers.
But on STL’s premiere unofficial civic holiday, the guests of honor treated patrons to a rather unseemly display of hospitality – rendering all today’s hangovers that much more worse.
Let’s hope the day off today give the Birds time to settle back into their summer homes and come back on Wednesday with a more proper start to summer in St. Louis.
