CHFF talks about QBs “carrying the a team” today, arbitrarily determined to be throwing 40 passes. It’s all a set up to praise Tom Brady who is 17-8 when throwing 40 passes. By comparison, Manning is 18-31 when throwing 40 times. It’s amazing how rarely Brady has been asked to throw the ball that often. Beyond that Brady had more than 40 passes in several blowout wins. I’m not sure why that qualifies as “having to carry a team” and not “beating down a weakened opponent. It’s pretty weak research.
Oh, Brady’s one playoff loss? The Super Bowl. Manning’s one playoff win…2006 AFC Championship.
Just sayin’.
