Cauley-Stein: ‘Nobody is getting fired’

Willie Cauley-Stein is a rookie but he is also very aware of his team’s current situation. When you listen to him speak, you can’t ignore the fact that his maturity level is beyond his time and it has really helped his development as a basketball player.

He understands that defense is the answer to his team’s struggles and that it needs to be addressed. The Kings scored big by drafting Cauley-Stein and it’s going to be interesting how George Karl utilizes him in the final 29 games.

“At this point we are all we got,” Cauley-Stein said. “Nobody is getting fired, nobody is getting rid of so we just have to accept the fact that nobody is getting fired, accept the fact that nobody is leaving and just work the last 29 games.”
