Now it all feels official. Welcome to the Blue Jackets, Brandon Saad.
Today the Columbus Blue Jackets and Brandon Saad reached an agreement on a six year deal with a reported 6 mil AAV. Saad was a part of a trade that had Artem Anisimov, Marko Dano, Jeremy Morin, Corey Tropp and a fourth round pick sent to the Blackhawks.
While the motives of the Blackhawks have largely been speculated upon, the idea of an offer sheet has loomed large this summer for many teams who have young stars. Saad comes to the Blue Jackets with two Stanley Cup rings and a recent 52 point regular season under his belt.
The reaction from the twitter world has been positive too.
