Here’s a fun blooper (or lame joke) from the Rams-Steelers game on Sunday. The game itself wasn’t great (outside of the pregame fire), but this CBS goof which confused the Rams with the St. Louis Blues was pretty solid.
At first it looked like the broadcast was trying to make a pun or joke, but the numbers don’t really reflect a poor effort. Tavon Austin’s numbers are actually pretty good which doesn’t fit the “Blues” joke. The trio as a whole were averaging 4.0 yards per carry in this graphic, which is good enough to be right in the middle of NFL teams. Best rushing team averages 4.8 and the worst 2.6.
If this was a joke, it’s a pretty weak one. This looks like a goof, plain and simple.
