As we saw last night, the C's ratcheted up the defense when the Wizards got close, and ran away with things . It was a classic display of how the Celtics defense is their primary weapon. The Celtics turned steal after steal into easy baskets and stomped the life out of Washington.
When the Lakers go on a killer run, it's a precision offense that just doesn't miss. Kobe is either in some kind of zone, or everyone is clicking at a level where the other team just collapses under the weight of made baskets.
What we saw from the Celtics last night… turning the defense and pounding an opponent into submission… is why the Celtics are off their best start ever… and why they are the better team, hands down.
