The Celtics may very well be done making offseason moves after one apparently final flurry to fill out the roster… a flurry that includes bringing Gerald Green back to Boston.
Former Celtics guard Gerald Green is returning home. A source told Sporting News that Green will sign with Boston on a one-year, guaranteed contract. Green was originally the No. 18 choice by the Celtics in the 2005 draft.
This is a fine move for one year. The Celtics wanted a shooter off the bench and Green can give them that. He’s also a stellar athlete who will “fly around” like Brad Stevens wants to this season.
The Celtics also added the final piece to their frontcourt… bringing back Tyler Zeller

Again, solid move for both sides. Zeller is clearly the 4th big, but he’ll get some minutes and he’s not the worst insurance to have should Amir Johnson have any injury issues this year. I’m a little surprised that he’s coming back… but the Celtics letting Sullinger go changed things a bit.
Now I know what you’re thinking… that doesn’t leave a lot of room for the rest of the guys on the roster…
League source says right now, R.J. Hunter, James Young, Ben Bentil and John Holland are in position to fight for the final roster spot.

Well first of all, just cut James Young now. He’s done. John Holland isn’t sticking with the team and Ben Bentil is intriguing, but not ready. Of course, I do think highly of RJ Hunter so I think the spot is his, but that’s not a lock. He needs to have a good preseason… but I’d say it’s his spot to lose.
