After another win against an underwhelming Orlando team, the Celtics will play their fourth game in five days as they travel to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks.
Boston is still without Avery Bradley, who has been sidelined for this week of games because of an Achilles injury. Bradley will be out once again for tonight’s game, as is Al Horford. Horford was out against Orlando after suffering a groin injury late against Houston. Given the fact that Horford is older and Milwaukee doesn’t have the best record, it makes sense to sit him.
Looking to make another start in the place of the injured Celtics is rookie Jalyen Brown. Brown has played well in the absence of Bradley, and was invited to play in the NBA Rising Stars challenge in the upcoming All-Star weekend. His athleticism and aggressiveness are an important factor that make him a strong player. Not only is he physically gifted, but he studies the game as well. After the game, Brad Stevens has nothing but positive things to say about the rookie. “He spends a lot of time studying. He had a great workout yesterday on an off day where he came in and put a lot of time in on both ends of the floor, and I thought he did a lot of good things.”
Tonight he will have to keep up that style of play against a Milwaukee team that ranks just outside the top ten in opposing teams field goal percentage. the C’s will also have the defend All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak is averaging over 23 points and almost 9 rebounds per game. It seems like every game he has at least one highlight reel dunk. He has a wingspan of 7’3″ and measures at 6’11”. It seems like he plays at an even greater height. He looks like a mix between Gumby and Plastic Man.
The C’s will probably have more help from their stars. It looks to be a more competitive game than Orlando, which means Isaiah will actually play in the 4th quarter this time. If the King in the Fourth is playing, then the Celtics will have a good chance of coming away with a victory.
