Well, at least we know Bass, Wilcox and KG are done deals. The Celtics welcomed back Brandon Bass & Chris Wilcox officially this morning. Although KG was not in attendance, Danny Ainge did say Garnett’s 3 year deal is official as well. Jet and Jeff Green however are another story. Scott Souza reports:
” A day meant to officially welcome prized free-agent acquisition Jason Terry to the Celtics, and welcome Brandon Bass, Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox back in the fold, took a bizarre turn at the team practice facility this morning when Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge opened the press conference by announcing the Bass and Wilcox signings, but added that the team has yet to reach official deals with Green and Terry.”
Jet, and Jeff Green were both present, but were not allowed to talk to the media one-on-one. I wouldn’t panic though-this is all probably a matter of dotting I’s and crossing T’s. Ainge is reportedly working on a sign-and-trade deal for Jet. However it would have been nice to have it all wrapped-up before having a presser. Very odd.
