Game time: 7:30pm, TD Garden. TV – CSN. Radio – WEEI-AM (850).
Team Leaders
Scoring
Bos: Pierce – 17.6 Grizzlies: Zach Randolph – 20.8
Rebounding
Bos: Perkins – 7.7 Grizzlies: Randolph – 11.8
Assists
Bos: Rondo – 9.8 Grizzlies: Mike Conley – 5.2
Who'll go off: The offense. The Celtics are averaging 85 points the past two games. Memphis (23rd) gives up 102.8 ppg. We should see triple-digits tonight. The Celts second unit should feast on the Grizzlies thin bench.
Who needs to be stopped: Rudy Gay. Paul Pierce will have his hands full guarding this high-flyer.
The C's will lose if… Memphis is the 2nd best offensive rebounding team in the league and top 10 in overall rebounding. Add that to the fact the Cs are coming off a tough game in Milwaukee and I'm concerned the Celtics will look tired and old tonight.
Miscellaneous: Zach Randolph (back) is questionable. Ronnie Brewer (hamstring), Steven Hunter (knee) are out. Lester Hudson is on D-League assignment. Hasheem Thabeet was recalled from the D-League on Monday. The Grizzlies have won 6 straight games on the road. Boston beat Memphis 110-105 on Dec. 15.
Prediction: Celtics 104 – Grizzlies 96
