Celtics (23-6) at Warriors (8-21)
Game time: 10:30pm, Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA. TV – CSN. Radio – WEEI-AM (850).
Team Leaders
Scoring
Bos: Pierce – 18.2 Warriors: Monta Ellis – 25.2
Rebounding
Bos: Perkins – 7.8 Warriors: Anthony Randolph 6.5
Assists
Bos: Rondo – 9.5 Warriors: Monta Ellis – 5.2
Who'll go off: Rajon Rondo. He will bounce back from last night's debacle at the free throw line. Rondo also put forth one of his best performances of the season against the Warriors at the Garden – 18 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds.
Who needs to be stopped: Monta Ellis. The young guard is one of the most electrifying scorers in the league. He struggled against the Celtics in the first meeting, shooting just 8-for-21.
The C's will lose if… They get caught up in Golden State's run-and-gun style of play. They can wear down the injury-riddled Warriors by playing tough, aggressive defense and punishing them in the paint.
Wildcard: The Celtics have lost 5 straight games in northern California. The Celtics beat the Warriors 109-95 on November 18. Monta Ellis has played at least 45 minutes in 8 of the last 11 games. Andris Biedrins (lower back strain) is questionable for tonight's game.
Prediction: Celtics 112 – Warriors 102
