BEIJING — NBA China and ANTA Sports Products Limited today announced a new partnership in China, designating ANTA as an Official Marketing and Merchandising Partner of NBA China.
The announcement was made at a press conference in Beijing by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and ANTA Sports Chairman and CEO Ding Shizhong, who were joined by NBA Champion Kevin Garnett of the Brooklyn Nets and NBA Legend Sam Perkins.
Through this new partnership, ANTA will launch a complete line of ANTA and NBA co-branded league and team-identified footwear and accessories, available in more than 2,000 ANTA stores around the country, and at ANTA’s official online stores on Tmall (anta.tmall.com) and JingDong (anta.jd.com).
ANTA-NBA Co-Branded Footwear
ANTA will unveil a comprehensive line of ANTA-NBA co-branded league and team-identified athletic and lifestyle footwear and accessories for men, women, and children. The designs will include a line with the trademark NBA logo, and an additional line for all 30 NBA teams complete with each team’s colors and logos.
Anta products are currently only available in China, or through EBay and online sellers such as HiBasketball. However this latest endeavor could hopefully be a step closer to the company obtaining a US distribution deal. KG has been with Anta since 2010 and Rondo just signed with the company last year. Below are pictures from today’s event featuring attendees KG, Sam Perkins, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and executives from Anta.
