Last month, Paul Pierce & Sprint held a Twitter contest that gave one lucky fan a pair of his Nike Air Legacy III sneakers in a Boston Celtics colorway. Sneakerheads and especially Celtics fans know just how hard it is to get your hands on a pair of Paul’s shoes. The Air Legacy has been marketed for kids since it’s first model back in 2008, so the only adult pairs manufactured are Paul’s p.e.’s and any he requests for family & friends. Nike has released other Nike models of Truth’s, such as the Hyperfly & Sharkley, but the Legacies have been a no-go.
Red’s Army reader and “Fan Friday” subject Olivia was one of over 2,000 fans to enter Paul’s contest. Upon entering, she tweeted this:
Well I’m happy to report that Olivia did win Truth’s kicks, and she is alive and well! I couldn’t think of a more deserving winner-Olivia is a hardcore Pierce fan/supporter, and I know she’ll cherish these kicks forever. Check out pics of her fantastic prize below, and big thanks to her for sharing the photos with Red’s Army.com. Give her a follow on Twitter-you won’t regret it!
