I have long been a fan of Marcus Smart’s adidas player exclusives. Now the folks over at Nice Kicks give us a detailed look at one of them. The adidas Crazy Light Boost has been Smart’s go to shoe for most of his rookie season with the Boston Celtics. The brand with the stripes signed Smart, along with fellow rookies Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embid and Dante Exum this past summer.
Via Nice Kicks:
After heading to the Boston Celtics as the #6 pick in this past summer’s Draft, Marcus Smart has been routinely playing with a relentless toughness and strength that set him apart in the draft as an NBA-ready guard from day 1. While the front office’s expectations may have been measured during a fairly public rebuilding phase this season, Smart has embodied the players’ collective sense of pride to compete every night.
For the bulk of the regular season, he’s been spotted both at home and on the road in this adidas Crazy Light Boost player exclusive. Just like Andrew Wiggins’ PE pair, Marcus Smart’s custom pair also pays tribute to his upbringing with an all-over print graphic adding storytelling and layering to the upper of the shoe. Inspired by the Texas native’s Dallas area hometown, you’ll notice a grid graphic drafting off of the city’s iconic sphere shaped Reunion Tower.
