I owe the readers of the “Celtkicks” section of Red’s Army an apology. Due to my poor translation skills, I incorrectly identified yesterday’s new Anta shoe as the “KG4”. I spoke with my Anta contact just now, and it is actually a new KG “Team” shoe. Team shoes are simply sneakers that are made in between numbered releases of a certain signature shoe. This team KG shoe features what looks to be an air max type of outsole and some fuse like patches on the upper and toebox. This also explains why they come in a green/black and black/red colorway. The KG4 will most definitely come in a Brooklyn Nets colorway. As of right now, they are only available to Chinese residents via Anta’s website. As soon as I get word of any news on the KG4, I’ll be sure to post it here at Celtkicks. I’ve also thrown-in some shots of KG at yesterday’s presser as an added “bonus”. Enjoy.
