Chick started at right end in place of Freeney in last Sunday’s preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers and played a little more than a half. He wasn’t credited with a tackle.

“I definitely expected a lot more out of myself,” he said.

So does Polian.

“He’s played hard,” he said. “But we need to see a bump in production this week, just like you do in everybody who has a game under them.”
