Chris Pratt Singing About The Penguins and Sudden Death On Parks and Rec

Parks and Rec has consistently been one of the funniest shows on television since its first season. And yes, that bit of hyperbole also includes said first season, in which it was a vastly different show and had yet to find the groove it currently inhabits. It was uneven, but still funny.

During that first season, Chris Pratt's Andy Dwyer was more of a jerk, dead-weight boyfriend on the couch, and since, he's become an active cog in the Pawnee machine. The humor in Dwyer's sincerity seems to stick because of Pratt…no other actor could've played the role better.

NBC released a deleted scene featuring Pratt. Well, Pratt and the Pittsburgh Penguins and Jean-Claude Van Damme and the movie Sudden Death and a whole bunch of kids who aren't quite ready for the full Sudden Death story. In this clip, Pratt sings a song about JCVD's fantastic movie set in Pittsburgh's now-demolished Civic Arena. Yes, that includes the kitchen fight. And the sheer number of terrorists lurking in an arena during a Stanley Cup finals game between the Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks.

I won't spoil the whole thing, because it's awesome and should be viewed in its entirety. Just remember you're getting a song about "a pretty awesome movie about terrorists and hockey."
