Former Clemson defensive line coach, Chris Rumph, says it best when he talked about his former employer with Jadeveon Clowney late in the recruiting process. He said –
“They can’t win there,” Clowney recalled Rumph telling him.
We’re going to win here. I couldn’t promise you that at Clemson, but I can promise you that here.”
Chris Rumph is now part of the Alabama coaching staff and tried to get Clowney to come to Alabama after he left the Tigers. As we know, it did not work. Clowney is a Gamecock but boy was Rumph right in talking about Clemson. Oh and Mr. Rumph, you can win at South Carolina. USC was SEC East champs and beat Bama football in 2010.
