Its funny how the passage of time alters our memory of events. Take for instance Christian Laettner. I remember Laettner as a tall, fairly athletic basketball player. In fact, I saw this in person when I walked past him in a mall in Cleveland during the 1997 NBA All-Star weekend (yes, Laettner made a NBA All-Star team) – I could have swore he was taller than me. Yet, when I see this video of his historic shot versus Kentucky, he sure seems to be much shorter and fatter than I remember.
